In this lecture, Masahiro Satake will present on the progress to prevent TTI in blood donor screening with a focus on ID-NAT Implementation and the use of an Anti-HBc and Anti-HBs combination screening system to prevent Occult HBV related to HBV-TTI.
Lecture Objectives:
• Discuss the effectiveness for HBV, HCV, HEV and HIV TTI prevention from the current Japanese blood donor screening system.
• Review ID-NAP implementation.
• Review anti-HBc and Anti-HBs combination screening system to prevent Occult HBV related to HBV-TTI.

Dr Satake received his Doctorof Medicine and PhD from Tohoku University School of Medicine, Japan. He completed his training for general surgery at Yamagata City Hospital. Prior to joining the Japan Red Cross, he practiced as a general surgeon with kidney and liver translantation specialty in various hospitals.
